FOUNDATIONS/ELECTRICS AND PLUMBING
It is the customer’s responsibility to organise their own foundations, electrics and plumbing. We do however have a list of registered tradesmen that can quote you separately for these services.
We can design and manufacture any size or style of log cabin. Just give us the floor plan and how many windows and doors you need and we can do the rest.
We can also move or change the position of any of the doors or windows in our existing range of cabins.
We recommend that you give your Eden log cabin at least three coats of Sikkens external weathering. This external varnish will protect your building for up to 4-5 years.
When you are deciding the position of your new Eden log cabin, please allow an additional 2ft gap between the log cabin and your boundary wall or fence. This will allow you access to varnish your cabin.
DO YOU NEED PLANNING PERMISSION?
All our log cabins with the exception of the Verona are 25 sq metres (270sq ft) or under in floor area. This means they fall within the exempt category of the planning laws. Exempt development is any development for which planning permission is not required. It is however possible that you have used up some or all of your 25 sq meters already in your garden or the specific use may require planning permission. We at Eden log cabins will be happy to carry out a site visit and advise you on your planning exemptions.
Note: It is the responsibility of the customer to examine the planning regulations as every garden is different.
